About Transform1060
Transform1060 is a non-profit educational and social event space serving the San Francisco Bay area LGBTQ+ leather, kink, and fetish communities. Transform1060 centers queer experience and identity with an intentional focus on increasing services to and participation of historically excluded, marginalized, and under-represented groups and individuals within our communities.
Transform1060 is managed by an all-volunteer LGBTQ+ founding team.
Background
The 1060 Folsom Street location has been a fetish/kink community space for over a decade. While it has changed management several times, it continues to be an important community resource.
Location
Transform1060’s location in the SOMA district put it near Mr. S Leather and historic Dore Alley. On-street parking is available. The closest BART/MUNI station is Civic Center, .5 miles away walking distance.
Team
The Transform1060 team includes community members who have been actively involved in the operation of the space for several years, as well as engaged stakeholders from local bay kink/leather/fetish communities.
